A Thorogood Friday!

TGIF! Friday is the day we rock out and this week we’re going to turn up the heat with a scorching set of songs by George Thorogood & The Destroyers!

Since 1976, Thorogood’s “high-energy boogie-blues” has resulted in sales of over 15 million albums, a catalog of classic hits, and more than 8,000 ferocious live shows.

For Thorogood and his longtime band – Jeff Simon (drums, percussion), Bill Blough (bass guitar), Jim Suhler (rhythm guitar) and Buddy Leach (saxophone) – the power to rock audiences has been both battle cry and creed from the beginning.

This is one of my favorite mixes! I’m off to work in the office today. Grant deadline and I’m training a new employee to submit NY State grants. She’s a few years older than my granddaughter! This music is just what the doctor ordered! Thank you Ray!

Jim, I am so glad you enjoyed it! If George can’t get you moving, then all hope is lost. 🙂
It’s an odd feeling when new employees are close to our grandchildren’s age. It has a tendency to make us feel a little more fossilized! 🙂

Now that’s an intro!! I am thoroughly happywith this medly!! You are destroying my time frame this am! And if you drink alone would’t you be alone?? I just got a haircut!! Did you kow that the sax player played the tenor sax!! You can tell he had a real job! I got to tell ya I’m rockin’ all over tapping my toes to that slide guitar..How many times did your back door locks get changed. Ray I’m beggin’ you please don’t stop!!(Sreamingoldies I mean)I know who I love, this music is right up there!! Poor guy lost his job on Friday and just couldn’t pay the rent the next Friday out he went!! I never liked Burbon but with a shot and a beer it was doable!! If I did that now Ray I dare say I’d be out my back door!! Well Ray what a nice way to Destroy a morning what the heck fantastic music and no beer!!

So glad you enjoyed this, Fred. I wasn’t sure if you would be able to spin your usual magic but once again, you Destroyed it!
My whiskey drinking days ended about 40 years ago, but I could still have a beer during the summer until a few years ago. The strongest thing I drink now is unsweetened ice tea!
      Love Ya!

Thank you so much for all the great medleys all week. Jojo and I really enjoy starting our mornings listening to them. <3

      Thank you, Nancy ❤️
I hope you (and Jojo, of course) have as much listening as I do in putting the medleys together!

Wowser! If this didn’t get your jumping, not sure what will. I loved it it was fantastic it made me dance all over the place in the kitchen in the laundry room and the dining room in the living room. I think I upset the cats they were trying to take a nap! I’ll make rock ‘n’ rollers out of them yet! This was certainly a good Friday medley you really mixed it up this week it was great the entire week kudos to you! Thanks Ray! You’re the best! 🥰

      Thanks,Sandy!🥰
Well, it sure wasn’t the softest medley I have ever played! ‘m sorry the cats didn’t appreciate it as much as you apparently did, but I’ll try to come up with some napping music for them somewhere down the line! Have a wonderful weekend!
