Ray I know alot about history cause you give great lessons but I never was an “A” student!! But no matter what this is a wonderful world!! And all it takes is a little love!! (HISTORY gotta love it!!) I met the supremes in person!! I was working at a car wash when I was going to college!! They were in a limo rolled down the windows and smiled!! Talk about a symphony!! Baby oh baby!! You don’t have to worry Ray hold on I’m comin’ so don’t worry!! In 1962 we had alot of Marvelettse times, you could give out a phone # anytime and not worry about so I’d call beachwood 4-5789 but we used to share telephone lines so you had to be careful as Mom may have been listening!! What a great time we had dancin’ with the music!! Oh yeah then the trumptes would s flare!! Sweet soul music!!(I like they had James Brown and Otis in ther) Holy toe tapping do I feel good!! Chair dancin can’t do you no harm!! Just be nice use a little sugar and spice!! Speaking of spice how about a little Tutti frutti!! Honey from a bee or peaches from a tree! Reet petite was the finest girl you’d wanna meet!! Mercy Mercy had some deep meaning Ray the blue skies won’t go away cause the people in this group won’t let that happen!! I know things ain’t the way they used to be but I will do my best to keep them has good as can be!! Let’s keep the wind blowin as clean as we can!! Mercy me Ray!! And Streamingoldies will add to keep it that way!! love ya!!

Fred, thank you for a truckload of smiles! You surely have a whole lotta soul. Sometimes when I put these medleys together I wonder “What will Fred do with this one?” and you never disappoint. Compiling these medleys gives me something to do and weaving the songs into a story does the same thing for you. Thank God we both have rhythm but very little blues!
      Love Ya!

      Thank you, Penny 🥰
Glad the music lifted your spirits. 🙂 It’s raining here, too, but we really, really need it.
      Keep On Rocking!

The sax is one of the latest musical instrument created in the early 19th century
Loved the wail on the Rafferty piece and the smooth ooze on CCR. Didn’t know Fogerty played it!
Your choices highlighted the diversity of styles and sounds of a truly sexy instrument

      Thank you, Mary Helen. 🥰
A sax can truly blow both hot and cool. I’ve got several more songs coming up in Part 2. Glad you enjoyed this one!

Hey I know it’s Tuesday already, but I’m just getting to Monday’s medley and oh my gosh I’m in love and I’ve listened to it twice already. Didn’t know that I liked R&B so much! I think knowing some of the words may have had a lot to do with that. I know this time yelling out loud singing as loud as I could got some big looks from my two cats! Lol this was super! I look forward to some more of these this is very pleasing thanks Ray, You’re the best! 🥰

Thanks, Sandy. It’s okay to be late. 🥰
We all have rhythm and blues inside us. It’s part of our DNA … and of course, we most certainly all have a soul.
