Rock Potpourri!

All week long, there has been one constant. All the medleys featured nothing but rock and roll with a serious beat. No ballads and no “poppy” songs. It’s been high-energy rock and roll.

It started with the 50s, moved ahead to a couple of days from the 60s, and yesterday was the 70s. Today, it’s a mix of all three decades: four from the 1950s, five from the 1960s, and three from the 1970s. They all have one thing in common … They Rock!

I promise you none of them will be unfamiliar. Every song was at least a Top 30 hit, and that includes a very well known “disco” song from the 1970s which stayed at #1 for four weeks!

Grab your dancing shoes! 🙂

Hey Ray! Happy Friday and thank you for this wonderful way to end up the week! I have to admit that I sang with every single song and I danced with 3/4 of them. I also loved hearing that beautiful silken voice doing some DJing along the way. What a thrill! Love going back in time and I especially love hearing songs that I actually bought back when they were popular. In my book they’re still popular of course, and I do still have some CDs with some of these songs. I donated my 45 collection quite a while ago. Almost wish I still had them. But I wouldn’t be able to play them if I did. My youngest son has my turntable, out in California. It was awesome, that’ll be the day till I die! Thank you Ray you’re the best! 🥰

      Thank you, Sandy 🥰
It was a fun week for me and I’m glad it was fun for you! Lots of wonderful memories in all of the medleys but I got a particular blast out of putting this one together. By the way, your voice carried up the twin-state valley straight to my ears. You should consider a singing career! 🥰

So along with my writing a best seller, I should become the newest thing to hit TV screens, singing my heart out? Well I’m pretty sure my Voice is for my own entertainment and might not please others! Love ya!

I’m happy you enjoyed it all. I’m not surprised you decided on a 70s song … because you’re still a young lady!
