The McCartney Medley

Today I am going to correct a major oversight. I have posted medleys by George Harrison and John Lennon (several times) on their respective birthdays. I’ve even done it for Ringo Starr on his. But I have never done it for Paul McCartney.

Today, on his 80th birthday, I am delivering a medley of Paul’s best Beatle songs. Yeah, I could have thrown in a medley of his work after The Beatles, but his career has lasted another 52 years and you would have been here all day! I promise I’ll get to his solo career next year on his 81st birthday (I hope you caught the optimism that Sir Paul and I will both be around in 2023.) 🙂

Ray I am having a hard time believing he is 80!! You know I love George but Paul in my opinion is one of the best muscian!! All you have to do is close your eyes and you know who it is!! Even when he’s away he’s got a lot of lovin’!! Ray money can’t buy this kind of talent!! And monet can’t buy love!! Was he really down??(did this song have any meaning to it??) Ray I think we all long for Yesterday,I know I do!! Making each day of the year reminds me how lucky I am to have my Nancy in my life!! Love never dies!! Lady Mondonna and hey Jude were all time greats!! I don’t remembering seeing the run!! What can you say about Blackbird!! I think we all want to fly away once in awhile!! Ray I will not say Goodbye I will always say hello!! The wild and windy nights were a long time ago!! This song leads me to your Medly’s every time!! Ray don’t ever let it be!! There is always an answer!! Great Birthday for Paul I will go as far to say he would thank you for this!! Love ya!!

Fred, this was supposed to be my musical gift to Sir Paul, but I have to say you went a step further and wrapped it all up with a bow. Great job!
      Love Ya!

Heck yes! Forgotten how much I loved Paul McCartney, and that voice of his that is unmistakable. Some of the songs I could sing along with 100% of the words. Not bad for an old girl! You sure did pick out a great collection of some of the songs that he sang or starred in. The Beatles are tops in my book I’ve always loved them from the very beginning I just will never forget when they were introduced on The Ed Sullivan show. Can’t believe he’s 80 years old, but I am an optimist like you, and we will meet again in 2023 Sir Paul!! Thanks Ray this was great, and as always, you’re the best!

      Thank you, Sandy 🥰
I was tempted to skip the Beatle songs and just go with his solo career, but memories are what the site is all about and these songs are timeless. I am so glad you enjoyed it!

What a great medley of Paul and the Beatles!!! He had amazing career with the Beatles and kept going and made his mark on his own. He and the Beatles are definitely at the top to stand thru time.
Thank you my friend and have a wonderful weekend!!!

      Thank you, Penny 🥰
It’s hard to believe I have been listening to Paul, with and without his partners, for almost 60 years!
I hope you have a super duper weekend!
