The “Music” Medley!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I said I was taking a summer vacation but I never said I was disappearing for good. If you do what I’ve done for the last 17 years, it becomes as much a part of you as breathing. Fred Guilmette, my personal guru, has given me permission to post a medley every Friday, so here I am!

This week it’s all about (no surprise) music and the songs – especially the first three – describe me perfectly because I’ve got words in my head so I say them.

By the way, Fred says I don’t bleed like most people. If I cut myself, he says musical notes spill out. Yeah, I’d say he nailed it and that’s why he’s my medical go to guy! 🙂

OH MY! Since music is your soul…this play list is so YOU for sure~~~ And how appropriate to top it off with the Beatles…. Thanks for dropping in regularly…. Rock on my friend!

      Thank you, Suzanne 🥰
Yeah, I guess it’s safe to say I’ve been “hooked on music” for a long, long time. Ending with the Beatles seemed like a natural thing to do. I’m very glad you enjoyed it all. 🙂

Wow! This is a “Ray” medley which brings sunshine & smiles even before the sun is up. Dr. Fred’s prescription has healing powers for all. From start to finish Ted & I enjoyed today’s music. I was rocking in my seat, rocking on my feet & really pleased to see Mac Davis included. Thanks for a great start to the day 🙂

Thank you, Lee (and Ted) 🥰
If I started your day with a hint of sunshine and a smile, then I am very happy. As usual, your words of encouragement mean the world to me. 🙂

      Thanks, Penny 🥰
I’m sorry you have had a couple of rough weeks and I hope this medley helped you to really get lost in that rock and roll.
I’m doing fine. To be honest, I’m happier when I’m working on these things but for now, Fred is only allowing me one day a week! 🤣
      Rock The Day!

I got the music in me!! Oh my gosh what a wonderful treat! This spells rock ‘n’ roll this feels like Ray and music! Very special, love them all, sang along with every single one, can’t even single out the favorite except for well, maybe the Beatles! Unexpected ,I think that’s the greatest treat in the world for someone is when they miss something ,but they don’t ever bring it to the forefront. And here you are popping out there with this great medley for all of us and on a Friday no less! Ray you’re the best! Thanks so much. Made this rockin gal happy!!❤️

      Thank you, Sandy 🥰
I’m very happy you enjoyed the surprise! To borrow from Mac Davis, I was 13 when I first heard the Beatles and I have been “hooked on music from that moment on!” I have missed creating these medleys more than you ever know! ❤️
      Rock The Day!

Ray and I go back 60 plus years and he had the music in him so many years ago I forgot when!! I think it was 59 ago years when he started!! So this is a story of his life!! Ray however did not steel hubcaps and fender skirts or even mud flaps but when he heard the local DJ playing he was hooked on music every since!! He knew that it wasan’t his physique and his charm he knew it was the music in him!! Ray did not need the beat to soothe or free his soul he would get lost in Rock and Roll and just drift away!! That’s what makes him strong!! Right after he was drifting away he said a few words..when you hear that voice of his you know why he was one of the best in the biz!! Ray learned early on that he knew what was needed to make us smile!! He always told me he had to get a message to get it on through!! He knew that if we listed to the music there was nothing we could do or say that we would dance are blues away!! With Ray the sounds of the city would disappear I swear sometimes when we hung out I could hear that sweet music!! And I still hear that sweet music!! Man oh man check out guitar George he knows all the chords!! He is one of the Sultans of swing!! Another great story!! Can you beat that guitar!! So Ray Sergeant Pepper and I want to thank you for another great story!! This is your life’s story and we thank you for letting me tell it!! Keep resting my friend and let’s keep the music in you and not on your steerig wheel!! And yes my friends Ray does not bleed the way we do he has musical notes coming out!! love ya and looking foward to next Friday!!

      Outstanding, Fred! ❤️
First things first … I need to thank you for your incredible support. Our phone calls mean so much to me.
Now then, your “story” perfectly described my musical journey through life. I must tell you that I am really looking forward to next Friday because I honestly do have the music in me and I have to share it!
      Love Ya!

    2. Pat Conant

Love reading your stories wrapped around the music, Fred. Hope you are doing well after your procedure!

  8. Pete

Ray, I agree with the consensus of the previous folks who have written here, it is beautifully and quintessentially you! Thank you! As always, it was a real joy to listen and keep my foot a tapping! Take good care of yourself and thank you for keeping the music flowing for us. Music 🎶 beautiful music 🎼

    1. Ray (Post author)

Thank you, Pete 🥰 For better or worse, I am “hooked on music” and I love sharing it with other like minded people … people like YOU. Keep on rockin’ 🎼

  9. Pat Conant

Loved all of these, Ray. It was a total surprise (and a good one) when I got home today! I know you have the music in you and thank you for sharing it with us!

    1. Ray (Post author)

      Thank you, Pat 🥰
I’m happy it was a pleasant surprise for you! I guess I’m going to have to adhere to Fred’s decision of “once a week” until he isn’t paying attention! 😉
