Every fan of the Beatles knows they had a lot of songs featuring great electric guitar riffs: Paperback Writer, Ticket To Ride, Taxman, She Said She Said, Eight Days A Week, Revolution, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and many more.
But they also recorded many songs featuring acoustic guitars and that’s what you’re getting today.
People tell me I can’t go wrong with the Beatles. Let’s see if that’s true. 🙂

Beatles Acoustic Medley
Just had knee surgery. How about a mix of songs to help put me to sleep?
I would suggest a lengthy mix of Johnny Mathis songs, Jim. That should irritate all the women who continue to swoon over Johnny. 🙂 To get serious, although I am loathe to do that very often, I do hope your recovery is smooth and speedy.
This may be my favorite Beatles medley to date. In my humble opinion this medley showcased many of the individual talents the Beatles possessed. What great music we were so fortunate to enjoy in our teen and beyond. Thanks Ray!
Thank you, Marty. Your comment meant a lot to me. Have a great day, my friend.
Ray what a nice surprise I’ve always said that groups that can play acoustic guitar had the best and you know how I feel about George!! I must say Ray, Marty said it best!! We were so lucky to grow up with such great music!! Man we sure did learn how to fly!! Ray I am just sitting back with my eyes closed and am remembering bringing my guitar to alot of parties and we all would sing along together what great times!! You sure know how to bring us all back again and I sure am fallin’!! How many groups can do this?? To sit and play all day long in the sun!! Can you just imagine sittin’ in a field of grass or by a mountain stream and hearing this?? I don’t need a place to hide away but I think we all believe in yesterday!! I’m on my second listen Ray and bright are the stars that shine and I still have a girl and I still love her!! Ray don’t ever stop your lovin’ ways!!
Excellent commentary (as usual), Fred. Keep that image of sitting in the field of grass in your head all day long. It sounds so peaceful.
Love Ya!
Ray, this was so enjoyable! You know how much I love the Beatles, but the acoustic guitar in all of these songs is so very special. It puts a slant on a song it makes it feel more part of your heart. I don’t know I may be a little different than other people, but I don’t consider that a problem. But I do feel music deeply even though I never played an instrument, I can’t remember doing an air guitar when I was younger. I loved this, and I love your choices to make up this medley. Thank you so much for giving so much enjoyment to us, we were the lucky ones, and having this music in our time, and still today. Ray, you’re the best! 🥰
Thank you, Sandy 🥰
It has been a pleasure doing these medleys and your responses to them always made all the work worthwhile. You are a gem!
