Maybe it was a powerful guitar chord. Sometimes it was an iconic guitar riff. Or was it an opening bass intro, a kickoff with a cowbell, or a pounding drum?
All of these song intros are here today and your task is to see how many seconds it takes you to identify each song. If it takes you more than two seconds, you have no business being here because each one of these songs are absolutely rock and roll classics from 1956-1965.
To make it even more interesting, I am not going to list the artists below. These are iconic songs that became part of the soundtrack of your life so you shouldn’t need a hint as to who played them.
If you arrived here via Facebook and you decide to identify the songs, please don’t do it in the Facebook comment section. Do it in the comment section below. Thanks. 🙂

Well, you nailed the first one, Janice 🥰
I can see him shaking those hips and smiling like he was a king!! Wait Elvis had to do the Jailhouse rock when he went to see Marty back in the future sing but it was a guy named Johnny b goode he wanted to hear and as it turned out it was some guy named Mark Cambell I always wondered if that upset some guy named Chuck Berry??? Oh Ray some kid named Ricky (I think he had a show on tv)fell in love with a Mary Lou poor guy even horses couldn’t keep him away!! And his feet were stuck on the ground!! Maybe he should say goodbye Mary Lou!! Ray who was that girl who wanted you to be her baby? Was it one of the Ronetts sisters?? Those girls had one heck of a drummer(Hal Blaine)!! Ray I know you’ve been workin’ like a dog and I know you had a hard days night but I guess you feel alright!! Ray you really got me when you said you couldn’t sleep at night!!
