1965 Pop Hits!

Thursday has been the day we deviated from the oldies scene and played country music. As I explained yesterday, that plan has changed.

This week it’s time to get back to the thing this site was created for. That means oldies and today it specifically means 1965 pop hits.

In case you missed yesterday’s announcement: THERE IS SOME GOOD NEWS. I have added two new .coms to my burgeoning group of music domains (there are now ten of them); CountryStreaming and StreamingDooWop. Neither one is active at the moment (because I just bought them) but I will let you know when they are ready. Now all I have to do is find the time to put them together!

So Ray you’ve got another girl! So through thick and thin this one is new and her name is PussyCat!! Whoa, whoa, whoa was it her Pussycat nose or those Pussycat eyes Ray?? I’d like to ask her what’s new but whoa whoa whoa but she was to busy making up those big Pussycat eyes!! What I wanna know is what happened to Rhonda?? Well that shattered her plan. Ray do you really believe she will help you get out of her heart you we’re just sayin’ she looked so fine!! Poor Rhonda needs help!! Well Ray I know a place where you can go if you’d like I’ll tell you more?? Ray there’s a man who will great you and you go downstairs(during the muscial interlude I made sure Rhonda was not there She had to go downtown)and I’m sure you’ll be tapping your feet!! The music is fine and the lights are down low!! But I’m wondering if Marianne is faithful she sits and watches the tear go by!! So let’s go with the sha la la la’s! After all we don’t want to become Hermits!! So just remember you can count on me so please don’t become a Playboy!! And I’m sure not down and out after this great tune day!! Love ya

And we have a winner! This one is positively amazing! You came through, BIG TIME. I especially loved the checking for Rhonda and how she went downtown 🙂
As I have said to Pat Conant many times, you have a definite gift for this type of thing and you never fail to amaze me!
By the way, I am much too old to be a playboy. 🙂
      Love Ya!

Thanks, Penny, I’m glad you enjoyed them. 🥰
I am going to have to carve out quite a bit of time to put the new stream sites together. That may mean taking a break from this site to accomplish that. I’m not sure yet.
      Stay Safe!

Now here we are, right where we’re supposed to be! I loved this medley, 1965 was such a great year for music. You selected all my favorite artist so how did you know that? You are so clever Ray! Petula Clark, oh my gosh I haven’t thought about her in a while. And yes agreeing with Penny , haven’t heard Tom Jones, Pussycat in a long time. Always have loved Gary Lewis and the playboys, and Marianne faithful! Wow what a selection what a lineup what a winner! You’re the best Ray 🥰!

      Thanks, Sandy 🥰
It would have been difficult to find songs I (and a lot of other people) didn’t like back in 1965. It was such an extraordinary year for music. I’m pleased, as always, to know you enjoyed it. 🥰
