Monday Wake Up Call

It’s Monday and you might be needing something to get you moving. That’s why I’m here.

There is no particular theme in this medley; just a mix of songs with a pulse. It’s not too long nor is it too short. It’s seven songs from the past, and they’re waiting to wake you up … hopefully with a smile! πŸ™‚

Rock Factoid: John Sebastian played harmonica on the final song under the pseudonym G. Puglese.

      I appreciate the kind words.
Tomorrow is a very special day, isn’t it? πŸ™‚

Yes, it is! There are two things, that I share with your daughter. The love of music and if memory serves me right, we both share the same birthday.

You are absolutely right on both counts!

Nice to hear ELO leading the charge this morning. This mostly British eye opener is up to the challenge of a Monday morning wake up call. Also always happy to hear the Hollies, they can do no wrong in my opinion. Who would have ever thought that John Sabastian would he Rockin’ with the Doors? Good job this AM, you really hit the mark with these selections.

      Thank you, Don.
I figured I couldn’t go wrong with Jeff Lynne and his crew starting it off, and I know you enjoy the harmonies of The Hollies. πŸ™‚

Ray what a great start!! As always loved this!! Busy day so short blog!! The story behind John Sebastion is crazy!! Contract issues and maybe a little to much to drink!! I am chair dancing!! Stay warm Ray love ya!!

Thanks, Fred. Yeah, contract issues plus the fact it wasn’t the best time to have your real name associated with the band, due to Jim Morrison’s legal issues.
By the way … I chose the Zevon song for two reasons. I love it for starters, but most of all, I chose it because of the line that says Freddy get ready, rock steady” πŸ™‚
      Love Ya!

Wow! Ray, you knock this right out of the park. So great to hear ELO, and paired up with the Doors, no less. This was a great mix, and of course right from the very beginning you had me just dancing all over the living room. Interrupting my cats taking their morning napβ€”HAH!! I could listen to this again, maybe for some additional energy this afternoon to complete all the things on my list for the day, I’ll have to just turn this up again. You’re the man! love listening to this great selection!

I apologize to the cats for being the reason you woke them up. πŸ˜‰
But I am so pleased you enjoyed it! πŸ₯°
