Cleveland’s Clown Show

Pat Benatar, Judas Priest and Carly Simon are among the artists who have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fames Class of 2022. The Feb. 2 announcement included a whopping 17 nominees. Among those also joining the list this year are Duran Duran, New York Dolls, Devo, Dolly Parton, Eurythmics and Lionel Richie.

The other nominees include Beck, Eminem, Rage Against The Machine, Fela Kuti, Dionne Warwick, Kate Bush, MC5, and A Tribe Called Quest.

Among the scores of deserving acts who continue to be ignored by the secret selection committee are such classic rock legends as Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Peter Frampton, Warren Zevon, Iron Maiden, Joe Cocker, and Meat Loaf.

Thank you, Fred. I wasn’t suggesting some of the people who did get nominated aren’t worthy but how in hell can some of the other names I mentioned not be considered?
      Good Luck today!

Don, we are absolutely on the same page. I think Dolly Parton is everything you described and more, but she sure as hell doesn’t belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame … but I have a feeling she’s going to make it.
