Grown Up Christmas

Today we’re focusing on the more traditional side of holiday music.

Not all of these songs will bring back memories of Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole or Perry Como (those are coming later) but today’s artists, better known for playing rock and roll hits, deliver quite nicely the true spirit of the season.

And the last song? Well, no one can play Christmas music in a bombastic style like the Trans-Siberian Orchestra!

We’ve seen the Trans-Siberian Orchestra several times now. If anyone gets a chance to do so…do it! You will not be disappointed! Thank you Ray. Along with getting decked out, these mixes really put a smile on our faces.

      Thanks, Jim.
As long as I managed to put a smile on your faces, I am a contented man!

I know it’s Christmas but when I saw Yoko I panicked!! But it was fine!! I agree with Don America was hard to reconize how ever the Four Seasons I could get there sound same with the Temptations!! Seager was hard to tell!! For me it is always nice to hear a rock band or a singer do something like this!! What I’m saying Ray is I really enjoyed this!! I really enjoy when I hear a group do this and sound so good!! Glory to the new born king!! Thank you for the way you get us in the mood!! There is always Silver Bells and people smiling!! love ya!!

      Thank you, Fred. 🙂
I had no trouble whatsoever recognizing the 4 Seasons or the Temptations. I get the confusion with America but I suppose any rock group would be hard to recognize when they’re singing ‘Hark The Herald Angels’.
I am very happy you enjoyed it all!

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra was the best in this medley I feel. I also enjoyed John Lennon and Oko. Of course I knew all the rest of the songs but they seemed to not have quite as big of an impact on me, due to their not being with original artists. I am really big on remembering things from many years ago through current and listening to the classical presentations is more recognizable for me. I loved this , I was singing, I was toetapping etc. thank you Ray for putting this together another fantastic medley by Mr. DJ ❤️

Oh Ray these medleys do make the season brighter ….even those where the groups didn’t have their “normal” sound. We have seen Transiberian Orchestra a number of times …. their music is phenomenal and the added story line and pyro is outstanding …. I have a personal favorite in their violinist as I love the sound …. their energy and sound is outstanding …. did you know they donate 10% of the proceds of each show to a local non profit? How kind is that!!!! You knocked this out of the park …. and it’s to be continued. How fortunate we are …. thank you ….
