Another Mellow Sunday

“A strange art – music – the most poetic and precise of all the arts, vague as a dream and precise as algebra.”

Okay, we’ve just gone through the madness of Black Friday and we’re just a day away from the frantic hours of cyber Monday

I think today would be a very good day to step away from all of that and just get mellow.

For the record, Christmas medleys will begin on Wednesday! 🙂

Lovely way to start the morning while scrolling FB. Ted & I agreed to start with today’s medley tho we have only partially listened to a couple of those from before. Need to listen entirely before we take credit for doing so. Hope your holiday was a good one & Dec. 1st is a perfect time to start some Christmas music. Will be waiting to see if you take Rose’s suggestion. I’m thinking you will. Have a good day all. Thanks for the mellow music Ray 🙂

Thank you, Lee, for the lovely commentary!
I (almost) always listen to Rose’s suggestions! 🙂
I hope Ted and you have a magnificent day! 🥰

Ray, you devil you. You put the Kinks dead center in this medley to trap me! Well it worked and you picked one of my favorites, of course I have many so it wasn’t that hard. Nice job today as usual. I haven’t thought about Keith Carradine in a long time and always liked that song. That’s an early Jimmy Buffett, he was still getting played on Country stations when this song came out. He is almost unclassifiable with his happy, infectious music. You got me again with that one. His plaintive voice really gets the message across. Talented guy. Dr. Hook is often thought of as a clown and he is and a good one, but here he opens his heart and gets straight to mine. Ray , Thank you. This has been a very nice way to start my Sunday.

Thanks, Don. You’re darn right about that Kinks’ song placement. “Stick it in the middle,” I told myself. 🙂 It’s sd that the song never caught on in the U.S. because I have always thought it was a great one.
I’m very pleased you enjoyed the entire medley.
      Mellow Out, Bro!

  8. Peter

Wow! I didn’t realize how much I needed this! We had a very hectic weekend traveling, care taking, helping pack up a deceased relatives’ effects, celebrating and morning a life and putting someone into a comprehensive care facility. So draining and your music provided the right touch for a cathartic Sunday! Thanks Ray! You are a life saver!!

    1. Ray (Post author)

Peter, I am so sorry you have had such a trying week. As you look back, I hope the cherished memories of happier days with them will fill you with joy. 🥰

Mellow is also a great start for a Monday Ray! “Come Monday it’ll be all right” for sure …. Mellow with memories …. love it …. sorry I don’t always chime in …. thanks for keeping the memories and the music flowing. Rocking through the Holidays!

    1. Ray (Post author)

Thanks, Barbara. It isn’t necessary to always chime in. Just knowing you enjoy the music is good enough for me. 🙂
      Rock The Day!

  10. Sandy Gaither

Once again, one of the most entertaining medleys. I just admire the ability and someone who can go in and out of a collection of thousands of songs and pick some thing that’s so pleasing to an audience. You are the master of it all! Thank you thank you thank you loved it

    1. Ray (Post author)

Sandy, I sincerely thank you for the compliment. I guess it all comes down to loving what I do. 🙂
