Another Doo-Wop Medley!

I received so many wonderful comments after I recently posted a Doo-Wop medley, I have decided to do another one to close out the week!

Although the genre is most often associated with the 1950s, several of the songs on today’s medley were recorded in the early 1960s and were Doo-Wop’s final stand against the pending British Invasion.

    I guess you do remember!! If we could start a new Ray I’d have you play Doo Wop once every month!! I forgot about Shep & The Limelites!! Didn’t Shep get shot or something?? Love the Doo Wops!! Have a great rockin’weekend!!

      Yes, Shep was shot to death in his car on the Long Island Expressway in 1970.

    Oh wow what a wonderful way to end the week, with all the doo-wop songs! This was terrific , absolutely had me singing my head off, which consequently got lots of looks from the cats! They just don’t appreciate this music I guess. Ray, you outdid yourself with the selections that you chose. Loved every single moment can’t wait to hear one every once in a while including some of these greats. Rock on through the weekend Ray!

    Yesterday I felt like it was Saturday and today felt like Monday, all I can say is glad it is over! Great Doo Wop to help get thru the day! Life would be a dream if the weekend came … LOL

    The best of Doo Wop for sure. Daddy’s Home and Oh What A Night Are my favorites. Would love a Doo Wop day every month. These are perfect for slow dancing, cheek to cheek!! Kids today don’t know what they are missing.
