On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Shortly thereafter, Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the surface, followed by Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin.
To mark the occasion, I’m playing a medley of songs with “Moon” in the title. Before you ask, yes, I did consider including Dancing In The Moonlight, Mr. Moonlight, Bad Moon Rising, Everyone’s Gone To The Moon and Man On The Moon, but if I had added all those songs, this medley would have lasted longer than the moon mission.

Good morning- Ray. Another surprise this morning and a good one. I was concerned when you said what you didn’t include in the medley but my fears we’re unfounded as I began to listen.. The Capris and Marcels were a great way to start and by the time I got to Neil Young and George Harrison you had me. I enjoyed today’s medley. Thank you, Ray.
Good Morning, Don.
Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you stuck with it 🙂
ROCK ON, BRO!
Ray, what a wonderful medley. Course you had me with Frank Sinatra! Who doesn’t love fly me to the Moon? I think the grouping that you used this time was so varied and stuff covered so many different periods. Just loved every second of it. Could you hear me humming along or singing the words that I knew? What a wonderful job you did on this and what a pleasant surprise. Thank you thank you so much!
Thank you, Sandy 🙂
I heard your incredible voice all the way up in New Hampshire. ❤️
What a great surprise-a history lesson & “moon” music. Enjoyed them both. Bet you can’t guess which song was my favorite!
Thanks, Pat. 🙂
My first guess would be Frank and after that I’d go with Cat Stevens. 🙂
Nope, it’s The Capris, There’s a Moon Out Tonight!!
Wow, I was 0-for-2!
what a great surprise ……. was going to respond earlier but got bombarded with work … UGH! Loved it …… Cat Stevens was probably my favorite!
Thnks, Penny, I’m so glad you enjoyed it. ❤️
