This Will Wake You Up!

It’s another Monday and you may not be feeling too motivated. I have a remedy for that.

These ten epic songs from the Sixties should get your feet moving and maybe, just maybe, change your entire outlook on the day. If nothing else, it will definitely remind you what a great time we all had back then.

By the way, there ain’t nothing slow in this medley. 😉

Good morning, Ray. Wow, this is quite the lineup! Loud indeed. I personally can’t think of a better way to start the day, any day, then with a Kink’s song., and an early one at that. I noticed that most of these tunes are from early in the artist’s career and I don’t think that’s an accident. The best way to get someone’s attention is provide them with a high energy performance and in music high energy equates to high volume. As a rebellious teen a good way to find out you we’re doing it right was if adults have to keep telling you to, “TURN IT DOWN,”. I always felt that to enjoy music properly you needed to turn it up to 11. I finally got myself a pair of headphones. Great for the music but questionable for the ear drums. Well it’s early and most people are still sleeping here so I did keep it at a lower volume then I normally would but later today I will listen again and “KICK OUT THE JAMS!”
Thank you Ray, you have outdone yourself today. Rock on my Brother!

      Good morning, Don.
I have received several comments in the past that the music was mixed too low so I decided to amp it up a bit, believing that it’s easier to turn it down than it is to turn it up. Like you, I prefer 11 … always have.
Anyway, I hope it wasn’t TOO loud for you.
You’re right about highlighting songs from early in each group’s career. My original intent plan was to pretend I was staging a “battle of the bands” and I had completely different artwork and written intro to accompany the medley. I ultimately decided to keep it simple.
Of course, the first song was planted there to get YOUR attention. 🙂
      ROCK ON, BRO!

I did listen before work today, I just didn’t leave myself enough time to comment… You know me, Ms. Procrastinator! I’m listening again right now as I cook dinner. These tunes are keeping me movin’ and a-groovin’!!! These songs certainly bring back a lot of memories! Memories of simpler days and sitting by the stereo or tape recorder with YOU. 😉 Thanks for yet another amazing mix! 🙂 XOXOXOXO 🙂
