Last week I played an ABBA song and much to my surprise, it drew a very nice response. Never one to let positive feedback be wasted, I have decided to see what happens when I play Ten of their songs!
Between 1974 and 1982, Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad (better known as Frida) reached the Top 40 fifteen times in America, and they have sold over 310 million records worldwide to this date.
I’ve always found it odd that it wasn’t considered “cool” to like ABBA. What’s not cool about perfect arrangements, perfect harmonies or pristine vocals?
U2 lead singer Bono says, “Abba was one of the best pop groups there ever was. It was pop music at its very, very best. Their songs are eternal.”

Well, that was a wonderful way to start my day! ABBA will forever be one of my favorites! For the last 10 years, when I hear their music it brings me right back to Mamma Mia on Broadway! Thanks for playing the tunes and keeping a smile on our faces! 🙂 XOXOXOXO 🙂

Ray I enjoyed this!! I will admitt that when I’m looking for songs I want to hear I never really think about this group!! I guess I go back in time!! As always you did a great job with the mix!! And yes New York taxi drivers drive fast!! I would listen to them again!! Enjoy the day!!

Well now ….I don’t spend much time on FB these days. That being said when I popped in this morning and saw ABBA I couldn’t just scroll by …. loved every one of their songs …. only wish they’d stayed together longer … your timing is perfect Ray – it’s good to think back to kinder, gentler times ….
