Female Voices, Part 3

Let’s do this again!

This is our third look back at legendary female voices, and once again, this one is focused on the “Rock” side.

If you think I have forgotten about some wonderful “Oldies” songs, just wait until tomorrow! 🙂

I see you are rolling out the big guns today Ray. That’s oK with me, I think I can handle it.
Melissa Etheridge is a good way to get started. Her throaty voice is both distinctive and effective. Pat Benatar, a tiny person with a big voice filled with urgency and Volume! Love to hear her over the airwaves. Chrissie Hynde sings like she is in a hurry. She gets your blood pumping every time. Cindy & Kate with those crazy B52s, you never know what to expect from them but you know it’s going to be good. The wild hair is a Big plus. Debbie Harry is a stunner with a stunning voice. Another artist with an individual style that makes you want to hear more. Tina Turner you can’t talk about great voices in Rock without Tina. An incredible career that spans decades. Excitement is a word that best describes her. She gets the party started every time. No “quibbles “ today Ray. These ladies are 100% Rock & Roll. Rock on my Brother.

      Thanks, Don.
Let me start by saying you are always free to “quibble” … always. 🙂
So glad you enjoyed this one. When I finished the medley, I realized I had overlooked some of the women and songs from the “oldies era” so I will be finishing the tribute tomorrow with several of those songs.
Enjoy this day. It will never come again.
      ROCK ON, MY BROTHER!

I meant to comment earlier after listening this morning and I wish I had! Not only were each of these song rocking awesome,so was the end of your message to Don. ‘Enjoy this day, it will never come again!’ This quote and the medley inspired me to dig deeper and make the day my own! Thank you so much for both! They literally made my day! 🙂 XOXOXOXO 🙂
