Christmas Eve Medley

Over the past ten days, I have tried to touch all the bases. I have played memories of Christmas novelty tunes, country Christmas songs, rock and roll Christmas favorites, and of course Christmas classics sung by iconic crooners.

I hope my efforts have, in some small way, helped to bridge the distance between us all during this most unusual year. It was my intent to close that gap by playing memories from our past in order to remind you we have so many reasons to feel blessed.

Once a year (and sadly only once per year), the world stands still to celebrate the advent of a single life. In this final medley, the music is all about that birth and it concludes with an absolutely stunning performance.

This is my final medley of 2020. I am taking next week off but I’ll be back on January 3 to once again play rock and roll memories from our past. I wish each one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Ray, this was wonderful. The perfect way to end your Christmas celebration of medleys. Thank you for putting together these medleys for the past ten days. Starting the day with a reminder of the upcoming holiday was both entertaining & enlightening. You covered all the bases. It was fun to laugh at the silly songs, to snap our fingers at some Rock classics and thoughtfully reflect on the reason we celebrate.
I appreciate all the effort you put into making others realize the true meaning of the Christmas season.
Enjoy your mini vacation. I wish you the Merriest of Christmas and the Happiest of New Year.
    See you next year.

Don, thank you for everything; for your kind comments throughout this parade of medleys, for your very well-received requested medley and for introducing me (and a lot of others) to the beautiful sound of your daughter’s voice. And finally, thank you for helping me discover I had a long lost brother.
This year has been so tough in many, many ways. You, my friend, made 2020 a lot more tolerable. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!
      PEACE

Thank you Ray. Our friendship has been to best thing about this crazy year of 2020.

What a perfect selection of music for today Ray. A reminder of what the true meaning of the season is. We were given a gift far greater than anything we could ever imagine – and how often do we reflect on how difficult it was for a Father to send a Son ….

2020 has been a very difficult year for so many Ray. Your music throughout the year has given us a chance to step out of the immediate and reflect back to times that carried good memories and kind thoughts. What a gift that has been. Thank you doesn’t even begin to express how grateful we are.

Enjoy your break …. Merry Christmas my dear friend …. Let’s pray that 2021 holds kindness, understanding, hope and forgiveness for all of us ….

Barbara, I can’t thank you enough for your constant support and encouragement. Your very eloquent commentaries reflect the wisdom and kindness you possess, and there is no doubt about the goodness of your soul.
Thank you for being you. You are one of God’s true blessings in my life. ❤️
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Merry Christmas Eve, Daddy 🙂 I agree with Barbara and Don’s comments along with all the rest you’ve received during the Christmas medley season. They have helped tree-mendously!!! They have also kept us connected while we have to be apart. Music and Love sent straight from your heart. Though this year is different, thank you again for making it special even so. I love you, My Sweet and Wonderful Daddy! XOXOXOXO

      Merry Christmas Eve, Wendyl ❤️
Thank you, thank you, thank you for always (and I do mean always!) supporting me but more than that, thank you for being the type of daughter any man would be proud (and lucky) to have.
You are an amazing human being and I couldn’t possibly love you more!
      XOXOXOXO

      Merry Christmas, Fred!
Your support means the world to me. There have been many times this year that one of your “creative” commentaries pushed me through days I was doubting myself. I have been blessed to call you a friend for over 60 years and God doesn’t make them any better than you!
      ROCK THE SEASON!

These melodies were just what I needed today, loving and comforting my heart. 2020has been such a challenge for all of us, and bringing us back to the “ Prince o the “prince of Peace” is so important. Thank you for doing that. I’m not great at expressing my feelings, but want you to know your words have often felt like my shoulder to cry on. You have broad shoulders and a heart of gold. Thank you.

Lynda, I honestly don’t know how to respond to your beautiful words. I have so admired your spirit this most difficult year. Your strength has been an inspiration, not only for me, but also for the many people who are fortunate enough to be your friend.
I know that somewhere in Heaven, Oakie has been watching you and telling every angel who walks by, “See that woman down there? That’s my girl! Isn’t she something?” ❤️

I agree with all the comments! This medley..so achingly beautiful…came from your soul to us and we are so lucky and grateful for the gifts you give us. Jesus is the reason for the season and tonight’s medley reminds us of God’s love for us even when we may not deserve it. He once said “the least that you do for others, you do for me” (not sure how accurate the quote is but). Well you do so much for us, know that Jesus/God are also being moved by your love for your fellow man. The smallest of things can mean so much…so Thank you Music Man for a year of memories, smiles, tears and reminders of our past and giving us hope for the future.
God Bless you and your family. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.

Donna, you humble me with your lovely words. My only goal, regardless of the time of year, is to give listeners an opportunity to reach back in their memories and recall moments that moved them. Those memories are always magnified at Christmas and I hope the sadness that surrounds all of us this year is diminished by memories of those blessed Christmases of our past.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
