The Final Week Begins

We have reached the final week of Christmas medleys!

As the week progresses, you will notice a distinct change in the music as it grows more and more traditional and we focus on the real reason for the season.

One name on today’s list may not be familiar to you but you may recognize her last name. She is the daughter of loyal column reader (and listener) Don Doyle but that is not the reason Victoria is included. The reason she’s here is because she has a stunning voice and we asked Don if Victoria objected if we used her song. Fortunately for us (and you), she didn’t.

Hi Ray, Good Morning. It sure is “Starting to feel a lot like Christmas “. Growing up Perry Como, Burl Ives and Johnny Mathis were the sound of Christmas in my home. Burl Ives especially seemed to be the sound of Christmas. I know he had a successful career as both a Folk Singer & actor but his Christmas songs are what still stick in my mind.
Victoria Doyle is now the sound of everything in our home. We are so proud of her. Her hard work and talent makes my heart swell. I love to hear her voice. Like many other families, we won’t be together this year, so the message of her song especially resonates. Thank you for including her and this beautiful song.
Ray, I really appreciate the effort you put into this project, you bring a lot of smiles and good memories back to your listeners.

It’s definitely a relaxing day for me. This is the third medley I’ve listened to and each one is perfect. I love Burl Ives singing Christmas carols … this segment is outstanding Ray and I love that you included Victoria’s song … yes her family should be very proud of her …. with so much snow and these songs it’s hard not to feel the spirit of Christmas …. you’ve given us so much Ray – I hope you realize that! Rock this very Merry Day my friend ….
