A Very Mellow Sunday

It’s Sunday and that means it’s time to get mellow. After the week that just finished, I think we need mellow vibes more than ever!

If these six songs don’t calm your rattled nerves, nothing ever will. It’s a medley filled with twenty minutes of Calm … and Love.

Well Ray, I decided to check out your Mellow Sunday, even though I fancy myself as more of a high energy type of guy. It was a pleasant experience., with one exception. (I will leave it to you to figure out which one.)
It breaks my heart to hear Karen Carpenter’s sweet voice, knowing that she was so troubled. Sad that no person or experience could make her realize her worth and our loss without her.
Is Linda Ronstadt amazing or what? She can do anything. Cruel twist of fate to have her singing voice taken from her, and us. Her documentary was very good.
    See you tomorrow.

Thanks, Don. I could be wrong (I often am) but I’ll guess it was Van who let you down, or more accurately, it was me because I played it.
Both Karen and Linda are very tragic stories. The final song, with Aaron Neville’s amazing voice was in my mind the perfect way to end the medley.
Now then, tomorrow’s medley is completely different and YOU are featured prominently for the reason why. 🙂
      Have a great day!

Ray, it wasn’t Van, I actually enjoyed his contribution, it was Bread.

      My second choice. 🙂

Have I told you lately that I love what you do for us? Karen is a sad example of having it all (at least to us) and it is not enough. Linda is an example of a cruel twist of fate. We are lucky that we still get to hear them sing.
Enjoy your Sunday, a day of rest and melowness.

Thank you, Donna. Have I told you lately that I love the fact that you listen and let me know how you feel about the music? That means a lot to me. 🙂

      Mellow out, Wendyl ❤️
I’ll warn you right now that tomorrow will be a jolt to your senses. It’s going to be the perfect medley to get you started on a new week!
      XOXOXOXO

After the week I had this is a great medley for the day! I absolutely love the Carpenters, was devastating losing Karen so young, at that time there wasn’t much acknowledgment of the disorder she struggled with! As others have said, sad that Linda lost the use of her voice to a terrible disease … I personally know people who have this and it is horrible. The silver lining is their music is timeless and will hopefully be shared for generations to come!! Thank you and Enjoy your day Ray!

      Thank you, Penny.
I absolutely love your “silver lining” when it comes to the music of Karen and Linda. ❤️ That is priceless (and so are you!)
      Relax and enjoy your day!
