1964 Vintage Medley / Part 4

If you don’t remember the impact British bands had on the American music scene in 1964, you will after listening to this medley!
Ten songs today (with their peak chart positions indicated in parentheses next to the artist name) and every one of them was from a British band … and trust me, I could have gone on a lot longer.

Yes, there were American bands and solo singers hitting the charts in 1964 and I’ll get to them tomorrow but today, it’s all about the British Invasion.

So glad they invaded us! I guess I didn’t realize so many Britt bands took advantage of the door the Beatles opened! My favorite today and every day is House of the Rising Sun.
Is it me or do they sound similar except for the Stones and the Animals?
    In any case…great songs ‘64!

      Thanks, Donna.
The amazing thing about House of The Rising Sun is the fact the Animals recorded it in 2 takes. The whole process took just 15 minutes.
