Let’s try something a little different for “Mellow Sunday”. Instead of playing selections from various artists, I’m going with a 40-minute medley from one of the greatest vocal groups of the 50s and 60s.
The Platters – led by the smooth voice of the incomparable Tony Williams – were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and after listening to these classic songs, you’ll understand why … but you may also be wondering why they weren’t included in the original class of 1986.

Fred, you’re still the great “connector” 🙂
Rock On, my friend!
Always love the Platters…perhaps I will swim to them tomorrow.
Thanks Ray….as Fred said…I do not thank you often enough 🙂
Thank you, Eileen. 🙂
Your thanks are appreciated but not necessary. As long as I know you enjoyed it, that is thanks enough for me. 🙂
There is no way I could connect the dots as well as Fred and Wendy do …. so I’ll just sit here with a smile on my face and enjoy the fabulous music the Platters gave us …. and add my thanks for making a day better – always! Rock the Day my friend ….
Thanks, Barbara. 🙂
Connected dots on this medley would have been next to impossible for anyone. 🙂
I’m just happy to know you enjoyed it.
Rock The Day!

Yep, they don’t make music like that these days.
I loved this medley! Only You could make it just right! Feeling very relaxed 🙂 Thanks!
Thanks, Wendyl. 🙂
Relaxation was the goal so it’s nice to know it was successful … even if it isn’t quite Twilight Time 😉
Listening on Monday, again. I don’t think the Platters ever made a bad recording. Thanks, Ray, You’ve Got the Magic Touch.
Thank you, Pat 🙂
I LOVE the last sentence 🙂
