A 12-String Medley

There is something very special about the sound of an electric 12-string guitar. Today’s medley features just a tiny sample of that sound.
I could have gone on forever…

When I hear your wonderful medleys, it makes me want to connect the dots. My brain power isn’t as strong as it once was…Is there hope for the future, someone to take my place? If I had some more time to spend, perhaps I could return to it. Rushing through the busy town, I could try to find a protege. I can feel a glowing sensation taking place to think of becoming someone’s muse! She might need a lot of lovin’ and encouragement. After all, it’s a hard world to get a break in. Got a feeling inside that it could work out! Until then, thanks for this great medley! It sure did make me SMILE! πŸ™‚ XOXOXOXO

Playing catch-up after spending time with our grandchildren before they start school. Love the sound of a twelve string. Such a unique sound and complimented, or was the star, of many songs we enjoyed and continue to enjoy. Looking forward to your next sampling of the twelve string sound.
Trying to remember if Fred had a twelve string for a time. Will need to message him to get an answer. Can’t rely on my memory for accurate recall!

      Thanks, Marty πŸ™‚
Fred did have a 12-string … and I will definitely be adding more of that “jangly” sound soon.
I hope the time with the grandkids was a blast!

Ray, another Home Run! Starting with The Byrd’s,, my all time favorite. I saw Roger McGuinnn a few months ago at a small theater and he put on a great one man show. Just him and about 6 guitars on stage for over 2 hours. He sang everything! It is amazing that he truly still has his β€œvoice”. Apparently he and his wife drive all over the country to do shows. A real Rock & Roll Gypsy. I hope he comes back this way again.

      Thanks, Don.
I kept following Roger’s career long after The Byrds ended. He is a extremely gifted guitarist and based on everything I have read about him, he is a wonderful human being. If you haven’t listened to it yet, check out his 1991 “comeback” album, Back From Rio. It should have been a huge hit but slipped through the cracks. Very, very “Byrdsy” with help from Tom Petty.

Oh yeah, Back From Rio, I actually have 2 copies. I liked it so much that one day I was in a Dollar store and there it was. I snatched it up in case I ever might need a spare.
Love the cd so much I have 2,
