I like to think we all need a musical timeout from time to time. I have a rock and roll heart but I realize there are days when something more soothing is appropriate.
That’s what I try to do every Sunday with these “calming” medleys of songs from the old days when music was, you know, music. In these troubled times, we all need an escape from the bickering and political divide, even if it’s for only 20 minutes or so.
Let the music take you back. You won’t regret it.

Rock The Day!
Ray, this is such a wonderful medley that you’ve chosen! I could’ve listened for hours. These kinds of songs always take us back to simpler times, with a little care. I always try to think where was I when I heard this song. And how many of these have I played over and over again as a younger person. Thank you thank You!! You did it again.
Thank you, Sandy. You know I COULD make these medleys last longer but I never want people to get bored so I hold back. I’m thrilled they bring back wonderful memories for you. 🙂
great medley to set the pace for the day Ray ……….. music has been and will always be my escape. Like Barbara said above … I too am glad you didn’t retire! 🙂
Thank you, Penny.
Music is the one place we can always turn to … Always. 🙂

Yes, the Iceman made it into the Hall with rest of The Impressions in 1991. 🙂
Love YOUR prayer … Peace and Amen.
Lawn mowed and trimmed and now a cool drink and some cool “old school” tunes. Perfect!
Relax knowing you have given many of us a needed break from the craziness. Thanks
Thank you, Marty.
It is a very small role I play but I appreciate the kind sentiment.
Ahhhh Sunday. A day of rest and gratitude. I am grateful that you remind us of times when life seemed simpler and kindness was everywhere.
Thanks, Donna … I’m just trying to restore a little sanity in the world. 🙂
Wonderful soothing and special music. Your time and effort in preparing these for us is so appreciated. Thank you Ray.
Thank you, Patty. The fact that you listen is very much appreciated by me.
The past week has been very trying for me, so didn’t get to listen yesterday. All of these songs are beautiful and full of love. Thanks Ray, for cheering me up and bringing back wonderful memories.
Thank you, Pat. I’m sorry it was a difficult week for you and I do hope the music helped, at least a little.
