On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Shortly thereafter, Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the surface, followed by Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin.
To mark the occasion, I’m playing a medley of songs with “Moon” in the title. Before you ask, yes, I did consider including Dancing In The Moonlight, Mr. Moonlight, Bad Moon Rising, Everyone’s Gone To The Moon and Man On The Moon, but if I had added all those songs, this medley would have lasted longer than the moon mission.

The Moon Medley
Frank Sinatra – Capris – Marcels
Van Morrison – Cat Stevens – Harry Nilsson
Neil Young – George Harrison – Neil Armstrong
This was the greatest medley, wonderful varied selections to please the entire audience! Course you had me at fly me to the moon, Frank Sinatraโs always been one of my favorites. I love the touch is in the beginning and certainly the one at the end with Neil Armstrong. This was fabulous, and I remember the day course. Thanks Ray awesome!
Thank you, Sandy. I had a lot of fun putting it together and there was no way I could have left out the “opening” and “final words” at the end. ๐
Nancy and I are tapping our toes!! In other words Ray we love what you do!! And even Neil Young want’s to see Nancy dance again!! (she is doing fantastic!!) I wonder what really went through Neil Armstongs mind when he landed!! Can you imagine after looking up and seeing the moon then setting foot on it!! We do have some great history!!
Fabulous medley! In fact, I’m over the moon about it! ๐ Seriously though, great songs and super smooth transitions along with the audio clips just make it stellar! XOXOXOXO
Remember the day and agree that we have lived through so much history. It is truly amazing. Loved each of the songs and agree that starting with Frank Sanatra was perfect. Stay safe on this hot summer day … Rock it Ray! (kinda funny “Rock It … sick but funny!)
