My 1964 Soundtrack!

“The wonderful thing about music is that it immediately evokes certain eras of one’s life and brings you back to where you’ve been.”
~Donna de Matteo

With retirement looming (May 4), I am rerunning an old project before I run out of time.
I am going to spend this week playing medleys of the songs that made up the soundtrack of MY teenage life. Today I’ll start with 1964, the year music really became important to me.
I probably could have simply played a dozen Beatle songs from that year and been done with it, but while the Fab Four were my primary focus, there were others I enjoyed that year, and as you can see, most of it came via the British Invasion.
I hope a few of these songs were, at the very least, a minor part of YOUR soundtrack.

Wow – there’s a trip down memory lane. Looks like a week filled with memories for many of us. Your choice of song from Gerry & The Pacemakers — and it’s placement — was intriguing (and honestly a bit worrisome)… Stay well and safe my friend

      Thanks, Barbara.
The placement of the song in question was completely coincidental. I picked it because I have always loved it, although I will say it DOES seem timely even though that wasn’t the intent. 🙂

This medley made me realize how much I enjoyed putting them all together over the years … and how much I miss doing it.

These songs are MAJOR part of MY soundtrack even though I wasn’t born yet! I can only imagine how incredible it was to be 14 years old during this fantastic year of Rock and Roll! It made such an impression on you that you shared it with your children (THANK YOU!) and with all of us here. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! XOXOXOXO
