“The songs we played in the sixties were very simple. Simple lyrics, simple music, simple melodies. And the kids could associate with them.”
~Gerry Marsden

This diamond ring doesn’t shine for me anymore, let it shine for you on a cloudy day, cause what can make me feel this way is the kiss of death from Mr. Goldfinger. Put on your high heeled shoes so we can rush everywhere so I’ll continue to say, here I’ll stay. Trailers for sale or rent, I’m a man of means by no means, King of the road. Ah but two hours of pushing brooms buys an 8×12 four bit room, I ain’t got nothing but love babe. Eww I need your love babe so let me tell you about the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees. Every time I see you looking my way, can’t you hear my heartbeat, stop in the name of love, think it over.
Thank you, Penny. Once again, you get another A+ ❤
They just don’t make songs like this today, that is why we are so lucky to have you bring us back to the good old days, thank you. 🙂 <3
Thanks, Nancy. You’re right about the music. It certainly (in my opinion) was better than the music being recorded today!
Hi Ray, been among “the missing” for more than a week. Trying to do our part to aid the thousand of flood victims, many of them vets and active duty service. Our CVMA Chapter has offered all the beds we have to the Salvation Army so they may provide them to shelters and individuals.
This one of my favorite medleys! Memories of happy times and great music.
Have you ever heard of Rain? It is a tribute show to the Beatles and their music. Played on Broadway for a number of years and now touring the country.
We are blessed to have tickets to see this show next week in Lincoln. Today’s medley brought me back to this era of music. Thanks Ray!
Marty, I’d say what you have been doing far outshines my efforts here. Kudos to you, my friend, for always looking out for those in need.
I most certainly have heard of Rain. They are terrific and I hope Karen and you really enjoy the show next week!
Very happy you enjoyed the medley. 🙂
Ray…Thanks for this list of awesome tunes. I’m recouping from surgery and this was a Godsend right now! Talk about cabin-fever ! Your medleys have helped to pass the time. I always am thankful for you keeping us all on that stroll down Memory Lane. Keep ’em coming. Thanks Ray
Sharon … First and foremost, I hope you’re doing well. I will keep you in my prayers.
I’m glad the music helps! ❤
