Here we go again! It’s the beginning of the 18th year of playing memories from the soundtrack of your life. As I do every year, I’m beginning with George Harrison’s reminder that this is the time to “ring out the old, ring in the new.

To be completely honest, I came very close to ringing the whole thing out. I am approaching my 73rd birthday, and while that isn’t “old,” it is a reminder that time is slipping away and maybe it’s time to enjoy these so-called “golden years.”

I had a long discussion with myself (I do that a lot) and came up with a few changes. For starters, I will no longer post new medleys at 4:45 in the morning. From now on, it will be 6:00. I like the idea of an extra hour of sleep every day. In addition, the inclusion of “liners” is going to be drastically reduced. I don’t think people tune in to hear my voice. I think they listen to hear memories from their past.

One more thing. If my responses to your comments seem to be getting shorter, there is a very good reason for it. Following my car accident in July 2021, the use of my left arm and hand has diminished greatly, requiring me to type one-handed. I don’t want anyone to think I don’t appreciate the comments. It’s just getting more difficult to respond to them.

Wait, there’s another one more thing! Some of you receive an email with the link to the medleys. Others get via a private message on Facebook. There is a much easier way. Just type in Raylemire.com on your browser and bingo, you’re here! 🙂
