When I started putting together medleys of 1963 music, I honestly had forgotten the number of great songs from that year. Today, there’s nine songs in the medley (because songs back then were fairly short, fitting nine songs into 21 1/2 minutes was easy).
The mix includes the first single ever released in the U.S. by The Beatles, long before the British Invasion started … It sold a scant 7,300 copies (but was um, much, bigger when it was re-released a year later. 🙂
