Sir George Martin, legendary producer for The Beatles and many other artists, passed away on March 8 at the age of 90. His expertise as a producer, arranger, composer, conductor, and audio engineer are well documented. Including his work with The Beatles, Martin produced thirty #1 hit singles in the United Kingdom and twenty-three chart-topping hits in the U.S.
However, he had another extraordinary skill. He was an accomplished pianist and he put that talent to good use, playing on nearly two dozen recordings by the Fab Four. Today’s medley includes six of those songs.
