Just when you think you have all the answers, you discover you didn’t have a clue. I approached an old problem with a very narrow focus. It was only when I looked at the big picture that I finally found the truth.

Playing only four “Smile Songs” every day didn’t guarantee that every one of them was going to have the desired effect … producing four smiles. It should have been obvious that at least one song out of the four wasn’t necessarily going to leave you grinning from ear to ear.

A big part of the problem was generational. Someone born in the early to mid fifties (or earlier) probably wasn’t going to get excited about a Classic Rock song from 1980, and someone born in 1980 (or later) usually turned their nose up at a #1 Song from 1956.

wanna-bet

So what’s the solution?

Instead of bringing you, for example, a Fifties Smile Song from 1957, we’re going to bring you a FIFTIES MEDLEY – and a different MEDLEY every day! Expect the same thing with the Sixties Smiles, Classic Rock and #1 Songs. A new medley of songs from those categories every day, so, to borrow a line from Ronnie Milsap, if you’re “stuck in the fifties,” you’ll hear enough songs from that decade so you won’t have to bother listening to anything else!

But we’re not stopping there!

Maybe you don’t like any era of rock and roll. Perhaps you’re a country music fan, or you really love the blues. Yeah, we can do that, too.

Here’s how you can help, and there are three ways you can do it.

At the bottom of this post, you’ll find a comment section. All you have to do is list the artists you love (and as many as you want, from whatever genre you want). Come on, could it be any easier? If you’re confused about how to leave a comment (and I don’t think it could be any easier, but whatever), Facebook users can leave their answers in the comment section below the post announcing this article. And if you’re shy, you can always send an email to Raylemire@aol.com and do it in private!

Once we have enough of YOUR choices, we’ll start putting together “Smile Song Medleys” that will leave you … Smiling.

See, you can please everyone.
