   Thank you. I remember it as being a very difficult broadcast. We delivered it in “real time,” right down to the minute, for over 4 hours. It was emotionally exhausting.

   Indeed we did. I’m sitting here, listening to the entire broadcast from that day. Some very special moments and a lot of very special songs.

   I was working on register at Grand Union that day. We only got the information from customers coming into the store. Needless to say we were in disbelief for a time and then we went home to the radio and TV. I cry when the song is played and remember the losses. I can only imagine how difficult it was to report such an event. Ray, thanks to you both for doing a great job.

   I was working in an office in Springfield, VT that day, my boss on his way to NJ on business, he was on the NY throughway close to New York City when this happened. Everyone seemed to stop on the highway watching what was unfolding in disbelief. I heard it on the radio at work, called my husband Dennis who turned the TV on and also watched in disbelief. Our country and all of us changed that day!
