Time for a change! I have been listing these medleys as ‘Smile Songs’ for eight years, but not all of the songs bring smiles, such as when an artist has died. But no matter the occasion (birthday, death, and everything in between), one thing is certain: Every song is a memory.
From now on, I will be playing songs connected in some way to the date on the calendar. It will be the day a song was recorded or released. It could be a birthday or the anniversary of a death. No matter what the event was, it is a memory. Some days there will just 2-3 songs; oher days it might be 6-7.
To make a long story short (too late for that now), call it a mini “Today in Rock & Roll History … The Musical Version” … and I hope they still make you smile. 🙂
