An Amazing Tunesday!

We’re going one better than yesterday’s medley. That one featured songs connected to January 20 with the exception of the first song. Today, the first song, along with every song in the medley, is connected to January 21!

We have songs recorded on this date, songs released on this date, the #1 album on this date, a rock marriage on this date, the passing of a music icon on this date, and the induction (on this date, naturally) of nine music legends into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 1987.

Another good one and enlightening with the music history mixed in.
I can’t imagine how a girl would feel being married to George Harrison for 11 years and then Eric Clapton for 10! With George and Eric being good friends, this must have been a little dicy.
Killian says hello to Wally and Heather. He said that Wally should absolutely hit the F7 button – just to see what happens! 😂 Killian loves “Charlie Brown” by the Coasters…and I told him that I agreed with you that Girls are definitely more fun!
I always thought “Blue Suede Shoes” was an Elvis original. Thanks for setting me straight.
My favorites in this medley are the last three songs.

Thank you, Jim and Killian ❤❤
Actually, their friendship went on very well. In fact, they remained the best of friends. George actually played at Eric and Pattie’s wedding reception! You can tell Killian hitting the F7 button plays all the music you have lined up at a high rate of speed and it doesn’t stop until you hit the F5 button (which plays songs one at a time). Heather thought I told her to hit F7 when I had actually said F5. About 10 songs played in a total of seconds. 🙂
I thought Killian would like the Coasters song. You can keep it as a surprise if you want to but I’ll be playing his Animals song tomorrow!
Girls are definitely more fun, even if Wally disagrees 😉
Those last three songs are classic!

This was such a great mix, I had to listen to it twice. I’ve always wondered A Little Bit Me..A Little Bit You. He’s a little wrong, she’s a little right…therefore he’s right! Wonder if anyone else caught that notion! lol! Look forward to all this great music. Thanks so much Ray!

Finally here, I am listening to this great medley. This one might’ve been one of my favorites. Actually, there’s so many songs that I could sing along with all the time. I think I kind of agree with Jim. The last three songs were my favorites, but I did indeed love the rest. You can’t beat Del Shannon and run around sue! He’s just saying that constantly, and make sure that it came on while we were parked at the A&W root beer stand up in North Springfield. Of course the monkeys, their grade and who couldn’t love the Beatles oh my gosh, the best! Not as best as you are though! Thanks, Ray.🥰

Your mention of the beloved old A&W brought back wonderful memories. That was such a wonderful place in a very wonderful time. I’m glad the music brought back such wonderful memories for YOU!
