Speechless (Finally)

Enough, Enough, Enough! Democracy is priceless, but let’s face it. Money talks and this year, it talks very loudly.

Not only have candidates in the Presidential, Senate and House campaigns talked and talked until our ears almost bled, the amount of money they have spent is revolting.

Twenty-three states this cycle have seen more than $100 million spent, but one state tops them all: Pennsylvania. That state has been a political hotbed. In addition to the presidential campaign, which has dumped in $576 million in ads, there are also competitive Senate and House races in the state. The Senate contest has seen $344 million, and that’s not even the most money spent on a Senate race. That “honor” belongs to Ohio, where about $518 million in ads have run.

So yes, enough is enough. I’m bringing you a medley to hopefully bring you a little peace of mind: A medley with no words, just selected instrumentals, all of them easily recognized.

The tenth song, to be completely honest, does begin with a very familiar two word shout out, but other than that, it’s music and nothing but music. Since I am remaining quiet throughout, let me say it here.
Peace, Love, Happiness, and anything else your hearts desire.

I promise there are no political ads included.

Good Day Ray, As I read the words above Ted went “wipe out” at the part about #10 & 2 words. He did not intend for me to write this but it made me chuckle so now we will listen to the medley. Ted just started laughing when #10 started. Usually I read who is doing the music but today I didn’t. He knew it was the Surfaris too 🙂 Thanks for the music

A good mix of instrumentals. I taught Killian how he can whistle along with some of them as well as drum to “Wipe Out!”.
I didn’t realize how many instrumentals I listened to and liked back in the good-ol’-days! Thank you for poking my brain. Nice to sit with a “young’n” and observe him liking some of these.
I still have it with “Wipe Out!”. 🤣✌️❤️

Mick and Keith often referred to themselves as The Glimmer Twins back in the day.
I think you two are The New Glimmer Twins!

      Thanks, Mary Helen ❤️
Praying for peace in our streets would seem to be very appropriate.
These are, I’m afraid, very dangerous times.

Thank you for a very welcome change from the usual medleys! I can’t remember the last time I listen to so many with no lyrics. Loved every one of them. I was kind of curious though on the song that Bill Doggett did, Who played the sax? Not sure was awesome. A couple of these. I actually have recorded from a long time back that I play in the car now and then. Thank you so much loved it. It was great and a completely different stimulation for us. Thanks Ray you’re the best! 🥰

That sax player on ‘Honky Tonk’ was Clifford Scott
