I am holding to my promise to play every request that was made. That’s the good part. The hard part has been trying to fit some of them in with others. For example, I couldn’t bring myself to play The Twelfth Of Never after Stairway To Heaven. Just didn’t work.
So today I think I have found the solution. I have taken the songs that didn’t fit in other medleys and put them into what I’m calling a mostly mellow medley. Remember, I said mostly. The Elvis song following Mathis didn’t quite mesh but what the hell. 🙂

Another great group of your listeners favorites. Got an early start today as I’m off to an event Grandview Invitational. Have a great day and as always, thank you!
Thank you, Nancy!
I hope you have a wonderful time today! Keep on smiling!
Happy Feb. 1st Ray, Ted & I had no problem listening to your misfit medley today& are definitely not puzzled that it all came together. Have a good day & thank you.
Thanks, Lee & Ted
I wasn’t too sure how it would be received, but it appears to have gone over very well!
What a great idea for listener’s requests!
These medleys have taken us back to the music of our youth and what joy they have evoked
Again great fans and a master mixer make for music that celebrates
Thanks, Mary Helen!
This medley really was a trip way back in time!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic medley, right up my alley, as I’m sure you know! Thanks Ray. I love “I Walk the Line”, but everyone knows (or should know) that “He Stopped Loving Her Today” is the #1 country song ever!!
Thanks, Pat.
When I said Rolling Stone named it #1, I was thinking to myself, “no, it’s not because George owns that one.” In fact, I could name several others who I would place above “I Walk The Line”.
Good mix-up of oldies! I particularly liked “Jailhouse Rock”, “Hit the Road Jack” and I love just about everything that Gerry Rafferty did.
Thank you, Ray
Jim
Thanks, Jim!

I did have to include Elvis, just to keep the place hoppin!
Nobody on the planet loves that Mathis song more than Rose.
I’ve got something very special with your name on it tomorrow!
XOXO
One other memory from 62/63: I was that girl in “I Fall To Pieces”. But we did remain friends for the rest of our high School years, and it really is a good memory now 60+ years later.
As long as it is a good memory 🙂
