Rock & Roll Monday

It’s a (mostly) rock and roll Monday and the memories should be flowing!

All but one song in this nearly 38-minute medley is from the 1960s and the sole song from the 70s serves as a perfect follow up to the song preceding it. There are two Beatle songs included since they were both released as part of a double A-side single on this date in 1967.

If you think this medley is long, tomorrow’s medley lasts an amazing 1 hour, 55 minutes and it is all about love on Valentine’s Day. Yep, 1 hour and 55 minutes. You may be tempted to listen to it in segments although you are encouraged to play the entire thing all at once and really feel the love.❤️

But that’s tomorrow. Today is all about memories from the most fantastic decade in music history!

Always have loved the word pictures and characters in Penny Lane

      Thanks, Mary Helen! 🥰
Finally, Monday are something to look forward to. 🙂
Penny Lane is indeed a beautiful array of word pictures, exactly what Paul McCartney intended it to be!

Monday, Monday, how nice that Ray prepared a music medley to start our day. Melodious music & memories to hum along with or sing or dance to. Thank you Ray. Have a good day. 🙂 Lee

A little out of my wheelhouse today, but I will say “Eve of Destruction” is very apropos today. And of course, The Beatles are always great! On another note, the Super Bowl halftime show was terrible (in my opinion). And Chris Stapleton’s National Anthem was outstanding.

      Thanks, Pat 🥰
The halftime show was one of the worst I have ever seen. Maybe they should go back to marching bands, and if the NFL wants to make that extra special, they could use military marching bands.
      Chris Stapleton was extraordinary!

Good idea, Ray. I used to love the marching bands with all their different formations.

Thanks, Ray, for including me! I really enjoyed listening. I enjoyed the other sets from last week. So many artists that don’t get heard any more. Like the Beau Brummels and Maryann Faithful. Keep up the mixing of melodies of the greatest music created and I’ll keep singing along! Makes me so happy!

Thanks, Bonnie, I am glad you are enjoying the music! 🥰
      Keep On Singing!
