It’s one final time with country music legends before we spend the next two days with traditional Christmas songs.
I included a song by Alan Johnson for two reasons. For starters, it is a wonderful song, and then there’s the fact it was written by Pat Kelley, a very dear friend and extraordinary songwriter.
I also put in another “song” by me (I promise it’s the final one), recorded in December 2005 for my radio show in Springfield, Vermont and played on this site every year since then. 🎅
The Kenny Chesney song features the Grigsby Twins. In case you don’t know, they are Chesney’s mother, Karen, and her twin sister, Sharon.

Love Ya!
Oh, this was just fabulous, so heartfelt and such a wonderful portrayal of Christmas, the holiday, and what it actually stands for. It touched me very deeply, and I loved all the songs by the various country artists. Such great choices that you made to represent the one holiday of the year that means the most to all of us, the day that Christ was born! I love your song, and the magical twists and turns that it took to depict what we all know, but sometimes forget to think about. You’re the greatest, and I can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow! Ray, you’re the best. 🥰
Thank you, Sandy 🥰
I believe the Christmas songs by country artists are so beautiful because they are so far from their usual music, they are stunning and quite surprising. My “song” may not come close to that kind of wonder but I’m very honored that you enjoyed it.
Other than the last three, all new to me
Your “song” was inspirational
