On a day when northern New England receives its first snowfall of the season, Dylan Place is here to not only put some sunshine into your day, he’s going to help you get over the hump of the work week!
His musical selections run from the 50s (featuring some all-time classics!) into the 80s (with a rock classic for the ages).
You’ll also hear a timeless song from The Byrds, an iconic country song, a raucous Forgotten 45, and a whole lot more. He even ends with a song that will have you longing for the beach!

Dylan you sound a lot like Papa!! Great song choices!! I really like the way you mixed in Roger Miller!! Tom Jones took me the longest time to like!! I now realize he was A great entertainer!! Must close but you did fantastic!! Better watch out Ray this is a serious contender for the #one DJ!! Was that Ray whistling in the background!!
Love ya
I was whistling at you, Fred.
Love Ya! 🥰
Fred, I really enjoy that Roger Miller song as well! A little something for everyone. I’m really glad you enjoyed the medley, I think I’ve got a long way to go before I’m at my grandpa’s level though! Have a great morning!
I have already listened to this twice, for some reason all these songs are so meaningful! Dylan you did a fabulous job, and I love listening to your radio voice very much like your granddad‘s. Loved the beach boys, and Johnny Mathis! Ray Price it’s always a winner in my book with his soulful tunes that always touch your heart. And thanks for throwing in Bruce Springsteen that was a treat! But that ending song by Pat Boone, love letters in the sand, was one of my favorites growing up. I can remember girlfriends and I just listening to that song over and over and over. Oh my gosh those memories are unforgettable. Thank you so much for this it was outstanding, and I look forward to hearing you again soon! ❤️
I’m so glad the music brought some joy to your day, Sandra. The whole reason my grandpa started this website was to keep the memories alive, and it seems like he’s certainly achieved that goal! I suspect you’ll hear from me again soon enough. Have a great Wednesday! 😊
You are such a dear heart, Sandy ❤️
Many thanks to you and Dylan for these fun songs. So wonderful that Dylan can help you and have some fun with you creating these streaming oldies together!!
It has definitely been a privilege to be so involved in the process, Jane! Thank you for listening and enjoy your day!
Dylan is so easy to work with, Jane. Thank you for your very kind words. ❤️
Dylan you have the heart in hand and you have all the makings of a great successor to you Grandfather
Hope you enjoy creating the medleys
Enjoyed it all
Keep those memories coming
He taught me everything I know, Mary! Creating them is fun, and very satisfying when it comes together just right. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Mary Helen, I think he’s coming after my job! It may not be long before he takes it. Thank you for your very kind words. 🥰
Yeah, thanks for letting me know how to get here. LOL
Thank you! 🥰
Welcome in Nancy!!
Great job again today, Dylan. I, too swooned over Pat Boone & “Love Letters In The Sand”.
Thank you Pat! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
late to respond but I absolutely loved it, have listened to three times .. great job Dylan and Thank You!!
can NEVER go wrong with the Beach Boys, great hit from Tom Jones. Born in the USA is great as well as Turn, Turn, Turn……. I could go on and on about all of these songs / artists. Is a toss up for me for favorites of For the Good Times or the 12th of Never!!
Ray .. you have an amazing prodigy in your grandson!!!!
Have a wonderful night to you both!
Thank you, Penny 🥰
I do have someone very special working alongside me. Someday, when this is all his, Dylan will do a wonderful job with it, I’m sure.
Have a great night, young lady!
XOXO
Thank you so much Penny, that means a lot. Especially considering I have some big shoes to fill! I hope you have a good night as well!
Ray, It’s nice to see the love of music flows through your family & I understood why you chose to spend time with your grandson instead of attending the Class Birthday Party a few years back. I never heard the Ray & Heather/Rose show ‘cept through your memories/posts on this site. Always enjoyed what I called the Fred & Wendy show. I think you & Fred are family of choice & this group thrives on the music, memories & your musical knowledge. Dylan, You have a nice voice for a DJ & the 2 medleys I’ve listened to have melded nicely. Warning tho; your Grandpa’s legacy may include having to escape groups of females chasing after you. His started with loop collectors but I still think it was the sapphire blue eyes. Enjoying the music & the memories. Thank you Ray &Dylan, 🙂
Lee, my family is very much into music! The class birthday party happened to fall on Dylan’s birthday and that meant a lot more to me. He is no ordinary grandson. I have told him many times he’s the son I never had, and I thank God he and I are so intertwined. ❤️
The Heather & Ray show was so much fun! Those were the happiest days of my working life. She is an absolute gem! The natural chemistry between us made every day feel like anything but work. I miss it so, so much, and it is this time of year, when we did so many remote broadcasts to raise money and collect food for area food shelves, that I really miss. 🙁
Fred is an amazing man and I do consider him to be my brother. His interaction with Wendy was so adorable. I will have to slightly disagree with you on one thing. This group may be focused on memories and music, but I think it thrives because of the listeners. Without them (including you) and their passion, there would be no point to this.
Oh, one more thing. It couldn’t have been my sapphire blue eyes. I still have them but there are no groups of females still chasing after me. Must have been the loops. 🤣
Thank you Rosa-Lee, you are too kind! And Papa is being humble, he is still chased by many a lady 😁
