Christmas Eve Medley

Over the past month, I have tried to touch all the bases. I have played memories of Christmas novelty tunes, country Christmas songs, rock and roll Christmas favorites, and of course Christmas classics sung by iconic crooners.

I hope my efforts have, in some small way, helped to bridge the distance between us all during these most unusual times. It was my intent to close that gap by playing memories from our past in order to remind you we still have so many reasons to feel blessed.

Once a year (and sadly only once per year), the world stands still to celebrate the advent of a single life. In this final medley, the music is all about that birth and it concludes with not one, but two absolutely stunning performances.

This is my final medley of 2021. I am taking next week off but I’ll be back on January 3 to once again play rock and roll memories from our past. I wish each one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Fred, life is a very special gift, one we should not take for granted. I have had that lesson driven home to me this year, but through it all, I have tried to combat each additional blow by doing my level best to make others smile.
YOU do that for me and you do it constantly. I can never thank you enough.
I Love You, Bro. Merry Christmas! ❤️

Ray – Your musical instincts are only surpasssed by your kindness. You have absolutely given us a glimpse back into our pasts, hope for our future, reminded us of the reason for the season and have made that season brighter. Merry Christmas to you my dear friend. I wish you health and happiness in the coming year… Enjoy your time away. We’ll be here patiently waiting for your return in January. Take care ….

Merry Christmas, Barbara. If my attempts to make this Christmas a little more joyous for you succeeded, I humbly accept your generous praise. The planet is spiraling out of control. There is much too much fighting between the people who live in the U.S., with both sides of the argument demanding they are right and both insisting there is no room for civil debate.
I am often reminded of one particular line from an old Dire Straits song … “Two men say they’re Jesus, one of them MUST be wrong.”
I am a devout believer in the ONE Jesus, and that belief is what inspired me to create a series of medleys that would drive that point home. I’m sure my effort failed to “impress” everyone, but if just ONE person understood the message, I consider all the work a success.
My very best to you on this joyful celebration and I pray 2022 will bring you, and those you love, a year filled with good health and much happiness. ❤️

  11. Marty & Ksren

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Ray.
A “thank you” for all the work you do to put together the medleys seems inadequate.
Many of the comments posted do a much better job of expressing our feelings of your efforts.
We are in hopes you enjoy your holiday break and are able to relax with family. Of course we look forward to the music you have in store for all in the new year!
    Thanks again dear friend.

      Dear Marty and Karen.
How nice of you! It is always gratifying to think I made some type of impact on listeners so believe me, your comments were not at all inadequate!
Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year! 🥰

Out of all the versions of Hark the Harold Angels Sing, you picked my favorite. I can not thank you enough for all your hard work and effort and time you put into you music selection to share with us. Music some of us have not heard in ages but when they start playing bring back memories like they where from yesterday.
I thank you for much and I look forward to another year with you and your daily posts.
I wish you and your family a very Happy Healthy Joyous New Year

    1. Ray (Post author)

Thank you so much, Victoria 🥰
I sincerely appreciate your comments but the “work” I put into these medley doesn’t, I’m sure, match the work you put into your Christmas project. You are a giver, and for that, I applaud you.
I send my wishes to you and your family for a Happy and Healthy New Year! ❤️
