A few weeks ago, Don D., one of our favorite listeners, made a comment about “turning the volume up to 11.”
Last week I received a comment from Mary B. about making the medleys a little shorter because she didn’t have time “to listen to 30 minutes or more of music at one time.”
Consider this medley an answer to both comments. 🙂
It is suggested you crank this set of songs, with a couple of Forgotten 45s thrown in, up to 11 (possibly higher) as we begin the week with 21 minutes of music (that’s less than 30) designed to shake off the cobwebs of the weekend.

The Play It Loud Medley
Steppenwolf – CCR – Eurythmics
Warren Zevon – Grand Funk – REO Speedwagon
Well Ray, that was certainly refreshing. I love to set it at 11! Like they say in church, “make a joyful noise”. Nice to start the week wide awake. “ Forgotten 45s”, who could forget these songs? I appreciate the way you built the sound up song by song. Also the way Grand Funk & REO were allowed to stretch out a bit with a few solos. Not everyone likes that, my wife would often say, “Why can’t they just play the song?” She definitely has more of a Pop sensibility. It was a shame you felt the need to limit yourself to 21 minutes, I could have listened to 42 minutes no problem but I understand you have to try to keep everyone happy and today you made me very happy!
Thank you Ray, I feel energized this morning. Rock on!
Thanks, Don.
I could have kept this going for another 21 minutes very easily but yes, I tried to keep it at 20 +/- minutes for Mary and others who have asked for shorter sets.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Now go out and take on the world with a smile!
ROCK ON!
Oh, I am definitely smiling.
That’s all I ask 🙂
I’m smiling too 🙂 No Monday blues over here anymore! Thanks for this energetic medley! XOXOXOXO
Thanks, Wendyl! ❤️
I love, love, LOVE it when you flash that beautiful smile!
XOXOXOXO
Wake up it’s Monday! Start the week with motivational music!
You rock, Ray!
Thanks, Donna. I just wanted to get everyone up and at ’em! 🙂
