January 18th Memories

Our musical journey today begins in 1941 and ends tragically in 2016. Before you play the music, I want to pause for a minute and ask you a question.
Is the “Today in Rock History” way of bringing back memories preferable to the old way, when I chose a year or a theme for the day? I can do it either way. I’m easy. No, not that kind of easy. Let me know what you think … and thank you.

Ray, First of all I like the new logo ” music & memories” as that’s what music does for me. I personally have enjoyed every way you have posted but your new way reminds me of Humanities class with Mr. Boudette, Soule & others which tied events, including music, together. It’s working 🙂 Now memories (today) – My thought was “he’s not easy, he’s my friend” & to take us back in time you probably never knew that when we had class picture’s done & had to list our eye color I listed mine as blue gray since I knew they were not as blue as yours & that is why at our 40th reunion when Rose asked if I knew/remembered you I answered “he was the cute boy with the really blue eyes that I went to cub scouts with.” Music & memories.

I enjoy the different, creative ways you choose to showcase the medleys. I’ve really enjoyed this newest one with the Memories correlating with a date in history. I couldn’t pick a favorite format if I tried….you know me. XOXOXOXO

I do know you. I have known you for a long time; years and years. 🙂 I also know you are slightly biased when it comes to my selections … or maybe you just inherited some incredible musical genes. ❤️

It could be a little of both!

          Perhaps 🙂

One thing I know for sure is you put your heart and soul into everything you put together! <3

Great songs again Ray, I knew they would be!! What your friend Lee said about “music & memories” holds true for most all of us!! For me music is also somewhat of a salvation for my soul. It goes back to my childhood which was not easy as I was bullied and picked on all through school as well as had somewhat of an abusive home life. I escaped in music!! So many songs bring back memories, some bittersweet and most good!! So if you ever wonder who pays attention, who listens, do I make a difference ……… I can tell you right now you do my friend … again … thanks for the “music and memories”

Penny, there are many times I do wonder who pays attention and I certainly wonder if any of what I try to do makes a difference. People like YOU lift me up and make me realize if I can help make just one person’s day a little brighter, it’s all worth it. Thank you, my dear. ~ Music & Memories~ ❤️

This one is great. Wish I had more time to listen. Keep up the good work. Or should I say play. Lol. Thanks!

Do it how the spirit moves you.

    1. Ray (Post author)

The spirit moves me any way I do it. My goal is to play them in a manner that other people enjoy the most. 🙂
